Many say that in polite company 'religion' and 'politics' don't mix. We agree. But the current atmosphere in our Country seems far from polite on either site of the aisle, between those of us that have differing opinions; even between friends, neighbors and family members.

We do know that every decision made by an elected official carries moral implications. That is why we are asking you to register to vote, to ask your like-minded friends and family members to register to vote and then to go out and cast your ballots on election day.

We're not going to tell you how to vote. We are going to ask you to read your Bible, prayerfully consider candidates and issues in light of what you read and to vote according to your conscience.

Less than 25% of Bible readers bother to vote in any given election. Is it any wonder that our national leaders have lost their moral compass? Political Theorist, Russell Kirk once said "Politicians are actors performing a script that is written by the audience."It is time for you to step up and provide positive direction for your leaders. It is time for you and your friends to begin writing the script.

In the United States voting is baseline civic duty. If you don't vote, please don't complain.

Pledge to pray and vote.
